Government College was established in June 2010 by the government of Chhattisgarh in the rural and tribal area of Dhule district Jashpur the institution was functioning from the campus of Government Higher Secondary School after establishment. But now the college has been shifted through its own building since July 2016. Most of the students are from the remote tribal area of. Though co education institutions, almost 80% of the total students are girls in our college, show the purpose of the college being established has been fulfilled by educating the girl child who can not effort the study outside their block area due to their Economic problems. The institution is currently Sant gahira Guru Vishwavidyalaya Sarguja Ambikapur Chhattisgarh [ ErstwhileSarguja Vishwavidyalaya]. institution offers undergraduate degree courses in Science Commerce and Arts stream major team of the students belong to ST SC and OBC categories and arel economically weak. The college provides a healthy environment for the overall development of the students by means of Curriculum and extra curricular activities. though in a small and newly established college and compared to other or bigger colleges but its aim and role has been always hai for the all round development of the students by organising co-curricular and sports activities. Along with this the units of NSS and Red Cross Society are also functioning in the college which develops a sense of social responsibility among the students.
